Created by Bruno Mathsson for DUX in 1969, the Jetson chair is an icon of Swedish furniture design. This collaboration between Mathsson and DUX was unveiled at Nordiska Galleriet in Stockholm in 1969. The Jetson chair reflects both Mathsson?? obsession with comfort and a classic Swedish modern design approach. It features a hollowed seat and high, ergonomically designed back with headrest and a chrome swivel base with a unique self-return mechanism, allowing the chair to rotate back to its original position at rest. The oft-imitated Jetson design was named for the futuristic animated American television family. As classic as his designs are, so is the story of how Bruno sat down in a snowdrift to create the optimal shape for sitting furniture. Mathsson’s starting point was always the shape of the body and the interaction between furniture and the human form. After perfecting the Jetson chair over the course of three years, it was finally presented to fanfare in Stockholm in 1969. And now, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of its original introduction, we are pleased to announce that the Jetson chair is available in the United States.

Standard shipping via common carrier “Threshold Delivery” is included in the quoted price. “Threshold Delivery” includes placement inside your front door or garage. Delivery can only be made inside the front door on the ground floor of multi-level housing. Carrier will call or email to set up a delivery appointment. Please include a daytime phone number in the shipping information at the time of check out and please monitor your emails for an opportunity to set your delivery appointment. Deliveries are made between the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and will be scheduled as a 4 hour window. Extraordinary delivery requirements may necessitate an additional fee to the carrier. NOT INCLUDED: Placement in your room of choice, removal of packing materials and assembly are NOT included.
Delivery is not available to Puerto Rico, Alaska or Hawaii.
